Are you often late?

Are you always late? Often late? Lateness is a habit that isn’t going to promote your sense of well being. It affects others, may leave you feeling guilty and bad about yourself, so why even go there???

I think the best way to overcome lateness is to start overestimating the amount of time it takes you to get places and to do things.

I’ve noticed, even in my own household, when people say, “It’ll just be 5 minutes!”, that it just never can take 5 minutes. In fact, I’m not even sure what an example of something would be that takes 5 minutes. All of the things that first pop into my head, really take longer than 5 minutes, hence my point.

If you think something is going to take 5 minutes, make it 15. That goes for driving distances, computer email checking, laundry, chores, makeup application, dishes, anything. Nothing takes 5 minutes! (Prove me wrong, I just can’t think of anything)

Start overestimating tasks and the time in between tasks and you will no longer suffer from lateness, even if it is fashionable sometimes!
