When I started my professional organizing business, there was no one out there telling me how to incorporate organizing ALONG WITH all of the things that Jewish families need to know about organizing.

I’d have to read information about how to organize Xmas or Thanksgiving, and try to figure out how that would help me with regards to making Passover or cooking for Shabbos.

I started my local organizing business in 2002 as an orthodox woman not really thinking about specializing in organizing for Jewish people, and of course as the holidays would come around, they would creep up on me and I would keep wishing that I could be better organized for them.

I finally decided to utilize my organizing skills that I had learned in becoming a professional organizer and incorporate them with organizing for the Jewish holidays.

I wrote down custom checklists and plans for how to organize each of the Jewish holidays. I interviewed Jewish women around the world about how they successfully organized for the holidays and for Shabbos.

It took a lot of time and a lot of hands-on practice to follow my own advice and findings, and year after year my own holiday prep has improved dramatically.

In fact, last year was the EASIEST Passover I have ever made, and we decided ONE WEEK BEFORE to stay home for Yom Tov. We couldn’t decide if we wanted to go to Israel or not. We ended up staying home 🙂
