Printable Checklist for January 1st-7th

Jewish Life Organized.com’s Weekly Organizing Checklist

_____ Printable Checklist Tip #1-It’s January 1st! Beginning of a brand new year 🙂 Resolve to get organized this year so you can be more productive, more efficient, and effective, and successful in all of your dreams and desires!

_____ Printable Checklist Tip #2-Create your personal or a family mission statement. Describe in a paragraph or less what your family’s most important ideals are. Once you’ve crafted it, it will be easy to say “No” to things that come along that can distract you from your important ideals and goals.

_____ Printable Checklist Tip #3– It’s okay to use more than one calendar as long as it makes sense. For instance, your PDA or phone could have all of your personal appointments in it. A calendar on the wall in the office could show when certain bills need to get paid so when you’re sitting at your desk looking at the mail, all you need to do is look up. A calendar on your fridge might have your meal plans or hot lunch menus on it. If you prefer to keep everything in one calendar that’s okay too and you can give yourself permission to keep a couple calendars (no more than 3) as long as it’s working for you.

_____ Printable Checklist Tip #4-It’s starting to get muddy in many regions so create a mudroom for muddy boots and shoes. You may want to keep a bootscraper, a commercial grade mat, extra towels, and a rack to put muddy shoes upon.

Martha Stewart also had this clever solution for hanging boots. They’re created by replacing the knobs on cedar boot trees with large cup hooks, which are screwed into the tops. The trees and boots then hang from a cafe-curtain rod.
