Save money…join a CSA

I can’t believe I just learned about CSA’s for the first time! Community Supported Agriculture or something like a coop.

It’s a way to save money and support farmers who have a bit of a hard time earning a living during winter months. You purchase a “share” of produce usually from May-November for something like $500 and each week you go and pick-up your produce. If you’re a small family, you can usually buy a half-share instead of a whole-share. Decide what works best for your family.

Just do a google search for local CSAs in your area and enjoy saving money on your produce bill.

PS- You have to be okay with only in-season produce. Don’t expect to get something like Florida Oranges in the summer or something like that.
