Slow Down and Focus

Slow down and Focus.

I’ve recently put a lot of focus into my life. Evaluating how I want to spend my time, with whom I want to spend my time, and that has created a lot of focus and intention in how I spend my days.

I think for some reason, women especially tend to feel good when they are needed, myself no exception, and if someone said, “I need you” ,I know that I tended to cast aside what I was doing and come running, thereby putting myself aside and treating myself with disregard.

I also think that some of us are fearful that we will run out of energy at some point. Like if we slow down we’re not going to be able to work up the energy again. Facing this fear and realizing that it isn’t logical will make it go away! We can generate energy whenever we like through either internal or external sources of motivation like an inspiring phone call or a personal growth book or a seminar or just knowledge that we are unlimited and have everything that we need.

I have a feeling this is the whole point of prayer, I never really understood or wanted to take the time to meditate, but in a way it’s exactly the same thing. Taking time to evaluate what’s important, how you want to spend your time, what the best use of your efforts are, and your plan for the day is almost like a meditation and its even better when G-d is infused into those efforts.

This may be the best organizing tip I ever give you because it’s essential to your success with all other aspects of your life.
